After 22 years, I have resigned form JWT.

After 22 years at JWT, I have decided to resign from the agency.

These have been 22 extra-ordinary years. In an extra-ordinary agency. One that dared recruit a Frenchman in its ‘so British’ graduate program. One that dared send me to set up an office behind the fallen  Berlin wall, making me its youngest CEO at 25. One that trusted me to run that agency.
And if that wasn’t enough adventures, an agency that then allowed me to return to London to set up digital@jwt

Continuing in the same vein by trusting me with a great brand around the world, Rolex. To finally give me the keys of its Paris flagship.

It took an extraordinary agency, with extraordinary talents to keep me 22 years. I leave a Paris office that has energy, a new creative track record on fabulous clients, and a strong new business stream. But most importantly I leave great people. A team. I wish them all the best, they deserve it.

Because it took an extraordinary proposal to lure me away. I will announce early January the proposal I was excited to accept. One that you will see just cannot be refused. Proof  extraordinary agencies make fantastic springboards.

I will continue my term in my role as President of the AACC to support and defend the agency world, until the new election in June.

Après 22ans, je quitte JWT.

Après 22 Ans chez JWT, j’ai décidé de démissionner de mon poste pour accepter un nouveau poste qui sera annoncé en Janvier 2013.

J‘ai passé 22 années extraordinaires dans une agence extraordinaire. De mes débuts dans une agence pourtant si Anglaise à Londres. Une agence qui m’a donné la chance d’ouvrir son bureau de  Varsovie faisant de moi son plus jeune CEO, à l’âge de 25 ans.

Une agence qui a fait continuer l’aventure en me demandant de créer digital@jwt en Europe.
Plus récemment j’ai eu la chance de piloter la communication de marques extraordinaires comme Rolex avant de reprendre les reines de l’agenceParisienne.

22 ans sans un seul regret, je laisse aujourd’hui un JWT Paris qui a retrouvé son énergie, qui a démontré ses capacités créatives et qui gagne de nouveaux clients, 3 pour le seul mois de Décembre.

En Janvier j’annoncerai la proposition que j’ai acceptée, une proposition qui ne se refuse pas tant elle est passionnante.  J’ai toujours dit que les bonnes agences font des bons tremplins, ma nouvelle vie en sera la preuve.

Je remercie en partant l’équipe de l’agence qui m’a soutenue et aidée. Mes patrons et mentors dans le monde JWT mais aussi tous les talents de JWT Paris. Je leur souhaite tout le succès qu’ils méritent.

Je continuerai à défendre et soutenir le monde des agences en tant que Président de l’AACC. Et ceci jusqu’aux nouvelles élections de Juin 2013.

Wild Old Spice tries its first interactive video.

Well Old Spice surprises us again. Thank god. It's wild, it's complete nonsense, and a joy to watch.
But more than that it continues as an interactive piece. Press keyboard keys and do it yourself. If you don't Terry will shout at you 'boring, get out'. Try H and N and then any other one. 

A few things spring to mind when looking at this: 
Old Spice is good proof that you don't need to be dull, but right the contrary to sell a product that's easy to switch…
But more than that Old Spice shows how the advertising language of a campaign can transform over time. Because let's face it: there is not one idea all the time, it's the same values constantly reinvented.

From a brand that promised you an orgy of women ready to tear your clothes apart, this new commercial is surprisingly…honest. 
You could say it's honest not just from a brand but from a man… and from Mr 24 hours even more.

A radical change…and one that delivers an insight the hard way, but beautifully written. 
Can we break the fear with a little Axe? They seems to think so.

When a prime minister appears in an ad.They rarely come that simple.

Great ads have a fabulous truth and simplicity about them. So impressive was the ad that even the then prime minister Tony Blair agreed to appear.
Here is one I remembered today. No idea why. But I can't resist posting it.
It's a recruitment campaign for teachers in England in 1997. 

Because yes great teachers make a difference. Something we should remember these days…

Insight gone wild. Does the new Axe campaign prove that women rule?

Well, the Axe campaign takes a new turn. Away from 'get into a thousand pants in a second'. And into a good dose of insights into couples.Or a good dose of insights of what a modern man's life really has become…

And the result is this incredibly well written campaign. Listen to every word, it's been a long time since you've heard anything like it. And wait for every punchline. Just great.

Admit it. Kickstarter has to be one of the most amazing creations of the web. Helping people fund their ideas. Look at this one. People who wanted to make an adventure game but cannot get it funded. 
$400,000 needed. Raised in 8 hours online. And now they even have pledges for over 1,2million.

Is there a cure for the Fear of Missing out? How do you catch what's being shared on Twitter, Facebook, seen on Youtube?
Check check check, but sometimes some of us have to work, or have to take a shower, or talk to someone without going through the Twitter feed.

So A young start up created an app for that. It's simple, it's called Rankmill and it gives you the top links/videos shared on your social networks. And what's new also here is that it analyses the people you follow, not the entire Twitter feed. 
So you'll see what were the most tweeted links in the last hour, 12h 24h or last week.
And it will also look at your lists. Giving these a completely new life.

And for the marketers around, it can look at specific brands. Right now they've put a few brands to test it like BMW Dior or Pepsi (check the list)
It's easy to use, although only in French but I'm sure if this is a success you'll get an English version, and anyway you'll find you're way through it easily.

Ne ratez plus rien sur vos réseaux, une appli fais votre top of the web #rankmillaacc

Pour bien commencer 2012, je vous offre une cure pour le 'fear of missing out'.

Quoi? Tout simplement un moyen de suivre ce qu'il se dit sur vos réseaux à vous, où ce qui se partage sur les réseaux sociaux sur vos clients.

Une application qu'un start up a développé pour nous à l'AACC et qui est offerte à chacun d'entre vous.

Son principe? Simple. Il vous donne les liens et les videos les plus partagés dans les réseaux sociaux (youtube, twwitter et facebook). 

Ainsi cous y verrez les liens les plus twittés dans la derniere heure, 12h, 24h où semaine. Un bon moyen de voir les tendances se créer sous vos yeux. 

Mais il  permet aussi de le faire pour vos marques. Vous y trouverez certaines marques test. Par exemple vous pourrez voir les liens les plus partagés pour BMW.

Donc les tops des liens partagés par ceux que vous suivez, où m^me pour chacune de vos listes (vous allez commencer à les utiliser!) où vos marques.


N'hésitez pas à la partager à vos équipes où à prendre contact avec Rankmill si vous voulez en savoir plus.
Plus vous suivez de gens, plus vous avez de listes, et plus elle est interessante à utiliser.Pour ma part, je l'utilise depuis une semaine et je vous avoue que je suis très addict.

Quand quelque chose nous manque, il ne reste plus qu'à le faire. 
C'est donc ce que j'ai fait avec une start up que j'ai accompagné pour développer une appli iphone pour nous, pour l'AACC et pour tous vos clients.
